AMA Board Member Andy Goldfine
Born: Duluth, Minnesota, in 1953.
First bike: A kit mini-bike, when I was 13.
Motorcycling experience: Commuting, traveling, track days, rider training events, rallies, races, show event attending, two years of AMA district 23 enduros, trail riding.
Life experience: Various retailing, sales, etc., founder of and manager of design for Aerostich Riderwearhouse.
Proudest achievement: That the Aerostich business has given me the opportunity to promote motorcycling. I hope that my proudest achievements in this area still lie ahead of me.
Why I ride: 1.Fun; 2.Episodic Transcendence; 3.Environmental value; 4. Economic advantage.
Favorite current bike: 1981 BMW R80GS, because I've ridden and maintained it for so long, and ride it so frequently.
Best bike ever: Not yet made.

Why you are an AMA Board member: To improve the climate for motorcycling.
The biggest challenge facing motorcycling: Public biases or misunderstandings about the benefits of riding.
Philosophy: Motorcycling is a true social good. Riding helps everyone, even those who do not ride.
